The Menopause
Weight Loss Trap.
You're doing everything right — and the scale still climbs. The fatigue, the fog, the frustration don't just wear on your body; they chip away at your confidence and your life. You're not failing. The rules changed, and no one told you.
This book hands you the missing knowledge to make your body respond again — so you don't just lose the weight, you reclaim your energy, your clarity, and your life.
Your best days aren't behind you — they're still ahead.
A board-certified physician's guide to GLP-1s, hormones, and metabolism by Dr. Jumana Al-Deek, DO — the method that turns midlife into your comeback, not your decline.
For the woman who
deserved better.
I'm Dr. Jumana Al-Deek. I built this practice for the woman who's been handed a prescription instead of a plan — whether she's in her thirties trying to lose weight, recovering after a baby, or moving through menopause. For too long, women's health, especially in midlife, has been treated as decline — something to manage quietly. I believe it's a moment of optimization, not erosion.
My work brings together what I love most about medicine: metabolism, muscle, hormones and longevity — all anchored in evidence. We're going to talk about protein and strength. About what your labs really mean. About staying powerful for the next forty-plus years, not just getting through this one.
As both a physician and entrepreneur, I bring together traditional medical training with a longstanding foundation in fitness, preventive medicine, and metabolic wellness. Hormonal shifts, weight changes, fatigue, muscle loss, sleep disruption, insulin resistance, and stress are often deeply interconnected — yet too many women feel unheard or dismissed in traditional healthcare.
Care. Empower. Optimize.

Board-Certified Family Physician · DO, MS
A board-certified family physician specializing in menopause care, metabolic health, hormone optimization, and medical weight management — blending evidence-based medicine with lifestyle, muscle health, and long-term wellness.
After years in practice, I kept seeing the same story across women of every age — whether they were in their thirties trying to lose stubborn weight, recovering after a baby, or moving through perimenopause and menopause. They arrived exhausted, foggy, not sleeping, losing strength, frustrated by a scale that wouldn't budge — and each symptom was met with a quick visit and a prescription while no one connected the dots. But these were never separate problems; they were one body asking for help in different ways. Hormones, metabolism, muscle, sleep, and stress are deeply interconnected, and my patients didn't want another rushed refill — they wanted to be understood and given a plan for their whole body. So I co-founded MedMethod Direct, a modern telehealth practice focused on evidence-based menopause care, metabolic health, hormone therapy, and medical weight management for women in midlife and beyond. Whether the goal is losing weight in your thirties or feeling strong through menopause, we build the full support package you actually need — not just a prescription and a quick visit. Because feeling great in your own body is the key to everything else.
